Downloads & setup

Everything to get the GexHunters levels on your chart: GEX Bridge for TradingView Desktop on Windows and Mac, and the GEX Overlay extension for tradingview.com in Chrome or Edge. Your login is personal; the downloads are tied to it, and the extension signs in with it too.

Downloads

Pick the one for how you open TradingView. The desktop app and the extension draw the same levels from the same updates; you can install both.

GEX Bridge for Windows

Installer · TradingView Desktop
Version 1.2.2

Run the installer, open GEX Bridge, enter the community password from the Discord once. It starts TradingView Desktop with the connection it needs, attaches to your chart and draws the levels on every pane.

Download for Windows
How to install
  1. Run the installer. Windows may show a SmartScreen notice for an unsigned app: click More info → Run anyway.
  2. Open GEX Bridge from the Start menu. It starts TradingView Desktop itself, or restarts it if it was already open without the connection flag.
  3. Enter the community password once (it is remembered on this PC). Ask in the Discord if you don't have it.
  4. Open any chart: NQ1!, ES1!, GC1!, SI1!, their micros, or QQQ / SPY. The levels appear within a few seconds, with the GexHunter box in the top-right corner.
  5. Updating: run the new installer over the old one. Don't run another GEX bridge app at the same time; both draw into the same chart slots.

GEX Bridge for Mac

Update kit · TradingView Desktop
Version 1.2.2

The Mac kit updates the GEX Bridge app in your Applications folder with one Terminal command. Same levels, same password, same layout as the Windows app.

Download the Mac kit
How to install
  1. Unzip the download in your Downloads folder (a gex-bridge-mac-update folder appears).
  2. Open Terminal and run: bash ~/Downloads/gex-bridge-mac-update/install-on-mac.command
  3. Open GEX Bridge from Applications. First time: right-click → Open → Open (unsigned app), then enter the community password.
  4. macOS may ask to let GEX Bridge control TradingView: approve it. That is how it restarts TradingView with the connection flag. If you miss the dialog, click Start TradingView again.
  5. No GEX Bridge app yet? The kit's README-MAC.md has the full build steps, or ask in the Discord for the app.

GEX Overlay for Chrome

Extension · tradingview.com in Chrome or Edge
Version 1.2.2

The browser version of GEX Bridge. Levels on any tradingview.com chart, and the dashboard opens on the chart itself for layers, sessions and the chart style. Installed once as an unpacked extension; signs in with your GexHunters login.

Download the extension
How to install
  1. Unzip it somewhere it can stay (Documents, for example). Don't move or delete the folder afterwards; the browser loads it from there.
  2. Go to chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions) and turn on Developer mode (top-right; in Edge the left sidebar).
  3. Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder (the one with manifest.json in it).
  4. Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin GexHunters GEX Overlay.
  5. Click the extension icon and sign in with this website's email and password.
  6. Open a chart on tradingview.com/chart. The levels appear within a few seconds. On a chart tab the icon opens the dashboard on the chart; drag it by its title bar, collapse it with “−”, close it with “×”.
  7. Updating: replace the folder's files with the new ones, click the reload arrow on the extension in chrome://extensions, then refresh TradingView.
Members only. Please don't pass the files or the password on. Access that gets shared gets revoked.

What you get

The same controls in the app and in the extension's dashboard on the chart.

Chart layers

GEX · Vanna · DEX · Charm

Four chips. GEX draws Call Wall, Put Wall, Gamma Flip, Max Pain and the -1 to -10 Gamma ladder. Vanna adds Vanna Flip, Vanna Bull and Vanna Danger; DEX the DEX Flip; Charm the Charm Wall, Charm Zero and the charm ladder.

Session

Current or an earlier update

Current, Last NY AM, Last Asia Open or Last Midnight Open. A session's levels are saved when a chart is open at (or after) that update, so keep a chart tab open to have every session to switch back to.

Chart style

Rectangles or Badges

Rectangles: boxes over the last 1000 bars, ending 20 bars past the last candle, the name at the right end. Badges: name tags 30 bars right of price with a dotted, solid or no price line.

Colour theme

Default, Minimal, Matcha, Ice, Rose, Gold

Default: each level its own colour. Themes: key levels in the theme colour, ladder levels in light or dark grey. In Default the gamma ladder can be coloured Call / Put or by Net gamma sign.

The GexHunter box

Drag it, hide it

Source pair, +Γ / −Γ against the flip, the update it is on, the Vanna ratio and DEX total. Drag it anywhere; double-click puts it back. The eye hides every level and shows them again; it stays hidden through updates and reloads.

Dashboard

On the chart, movable

In the extension, the icon opens the dashboard on the TradingView chart. Drag it by its title bar, collapse it, close it; it remembers where you left it. On other pages the icon opens the regular popup.

Update schedule

Three updates a day, New York time. Between them the levels stay exactly where they are, in the app and the extension alike. Next update: – (–).

What gets pulled

The ticker on your chart, every layer you have on, for the next available expiration. The GexHunter box names the update the levels are from; the dashboard counts down to the next one.

Reading the levels

Every level the app and the extension draw, layer by layer, with where it comes from and what the GexHunter box shows.

Stuck? Ask in the GexHunters Discord: say which app (Windows, Mac or the extension) and what the GexHunter box in the chart's corner says. “GexHunters server unreachable” in the dashboard means your internet or the server is down; the extension keeps the last levels on the chart and tries again by itself.
